Pakistan has witnessed a first in children’s education — an AI-powered cartoon created specially to teach kids the right way to wash their hands. Reckitt Pakistan launched this first-of-its-kind, long-format AI animation under its Saaf Sehatmand Pakistan platform on the occasion of Global Handwashing Day.
Reckitt Pakistan Launches First AI-Powered Animation To Promote Healthy Hygiene Habits Under Saaf Sehatmand Pakistan
The animation was developed in Pakistan for the Dettol Hygiene Education Program. With AI-driven storytelling, hygiene lessons are now more engaging and memorable for young minds — replacing boring lectures with characters and stories children will actually remember.
Learning the 8 Steps of Handwashing
At the Global Handwashing Day school session, children watched the animation and took part in fun, interactive activities. They learned the eight essential steps of handwashing and understood why keeping their surroundings clean is just as important.
- Wet your hands with clean water
- Apply enough soap to cover all hand surfaces
- Rub your palms together
- Rub the back of each hand with the opposite palm
- Rub between your fingers, interlaced
- Rub the backs of your fingers against the opposite palm
- Clean your thumbs and fingertips, including under the nails
- Rinse well with water and dry with a clean towel
Reaching 2 Million Children Every Year
The Dettol Hygiene Education Program has been teaching practical hygiene habits to children for more than a decade, reaching around two million children every year. The new AI animation adds a storytelling layer to this work, helping children connect handwashing with soap to their daily routine.
