Who Can Participate in the Pasban Scheme 2026?
A remittance beneficiary can become eligible for the scheme by receiving home remittances equivalent to at least USD 100 per month for three consecutive months within a quarter into a bank account.

Participation is automatic for eligible beneficiaries and does not require the purchase of a ticket or payment of any fee.
For example, a beneficiary receiving USD 100 in each of three consecutive months will receive three digital entry numbers for that quarter.

How Pasban Digital Entries Are Calculated
The number of entries increases according to the amount of eligible remittances received.

Is There Any Fee For Pasban Scheme Participation?
No. Participation in the Pasban scheme is completely free.

Why SBP Launched the Pasban Scheme
According to SBP, the scheme is designed to further encourage overseas Pakistanis to use formal banking channels for sending money to Pakistan.
Governor Jameel Ahmad highlighted the important role of workers’ remittances in supporting Pakistani households, including expenditure on education, healthcare, investment and other economic opportunities.

SBP also highlighted the growth in Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves and workers’ remittances. Workers’ remittances reached a record US$41.6 billion in FY26, compared with US$21.7 billion in FY19.
